For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to leadership that serves — the kind that lifts others, protects others, and calls out the best in people. That calling has taken shape in three distinct chapters of my life: the military, the ministry, and the marketplace.

I began my journey in the United States Army, where I proudly served for six years and rose to the rank of Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO). Those years taught me the value of discipline, integrity, and servant leadership — principles that still shape how I lead today. I learned that true leadership isn’t about position or power; it’s about responsibility and sacrifice.

After completing my military service, I answered another call — this time to pastoral ministry. For over 20 years, I had the privilege of walking with people through life’s victories and valleys. That season culminated in one of the greatest honors of my life: planting and pastoring a church built on community, authenticity, and a deep desire to help people encounter God in a genuine way.

Today, I serve as a Corporate Technology Project Manager for one of the largest family-owned resort groups in America. I lead cross-functional teams, guide complex initiatives, and help people move from vision to reality. And through it all, the same heartbeat remains:

To live and lead so others may live.

That conviction is what inspired Start Strong | Lead Well — a space where leadership and faith intersect. What began as simple reflections shared online has grown into a weekly rhythm of encouragement for leaders who want to live with conviction, lead with integrity, and impact those they serve.

A Little More About Me

I’ve been married to my wife, Sara, for 27 years, and together we’ve raised two sons who inspire me daily to live what I teach. Faith, family, and servant leadership are the cornerstones of everything I do.

Whether managing technology projects, mentoring young leaders, or reflecting on scripture over morning coffee, I find myself drawn to the same truth: leadership is a sacred trust — a call to steward influence for the good of others.

That’s what Start Strong | Lead Well is all about — using what God has placed in our hands so others may live more fully, lead more faithfully, and serve more selflessly.
